Currently, the operation of Cua Dat reservoir is carried out according to the regulations on the operation of inter-reservoirs in the Ma River basin issued together with Decision No. 214 dated February 12, 2018 of the Prime Minister. Every year, at the beginning of the dry season, the Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 3 (hereinafter referred to as Board 3) presides and coordinates with water users and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to develop and implement a plan to regulate and use Cua Dat reservoir water during the dry season according to the inter-reservoir process based on existing water resources.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang and representatives of relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
Members of the EVN Group delegation.
During the implementation of the plan, depending on the weather and lake water sources at different times, there will be monthly documents adjusting the water supply and usage to ensure economical and effective use of water resources for production.
Representative of Song Chu LLC reported at the meeting.
However, there are still some shortcomings in the implementation process. Currently, Board 3 has not installed automatic water flow monitoring equipment through the tunnel at Cua Dat Hydropower Plant, causing difficulties in monitoring the operation of supplying water from Cua Dat Lake downstream to serve production. Information and coordination between water users, Board 3 and state management agencies are sometimes not timely, so the effectiveness of the project has not been maximized.
EVN Deputy General Director Ngo Son Hai spoke at the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, EVN Deputy General Director Ngo Son Hai thanked the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province for removing difficulties and obstacles for hydropower plants in operation in the past time. Providing water for agricultural production, as well as ensuring electricity for pumping stations is an important task, seriously implemented by the Group and its units. Power companies regularly coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and enterprises exploiting irrigation works in the area to ensure the economical and effective use of water from hydropower reservoirs.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang emphasized: The main task of Cua Dat reservoir is to cut floods, ensure safety of the project, and at the same time provide water for people's daily life and production.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over working with Board 3, Song Chu One Member Co., Ltd., the Department of Industry and Trade, and hydropower plants to rectify coordination, effectively use works, and ensure water sources for agricultural production, domestic water sources, and electricity production.
The units exploiting and managing the Cua Dat reservoir project have a plan to operate and regulate the lake water, prioritizing water supply for agriculture, avoiding drought that affects people's lives and production.
