Da Nang is known as the “City of Bridges”. Not only playing an important role in connecting traffic, the bridges across the Han River are also historical witnesses, symbols of change and a unique cultural feature of the young and dynamic city of Da Nang.

In the whole landscape of Da Nang city, the bridges are both traffic works and architectural highlights of the city. Each bridge has its own unique features, its own story, attracting domestic and foreign tourists when visiting and traveling in the city. Among them, the most prominent is the Han River Bridge - the pride of the people of Da Nang city. Inaugurated in 2000, this is not only the first and only rotating bridge in Vietnam, but the Han River Bridge was built with the contributions of the people of Da Nang, as a testament to the spirit of solidarity and the desire for development of the city.

Along with the development of the city, many new bridges have been built, not only creating a colorful and vivid picture for the city but also contributing to facilitating people's travel, connecting trade, developing the economy - society, as well as giving Da Nang a new look and the brand "City of Bridges".

Over the past 50 years, since the liberation of the city and 28 years since Da Nang became a centrally-governed city; the bridges associated with the history and development of the city are not only simple traffic works but have become the pride and symbol of the city. The bridges not only connect the two banks but also connect the past with the future, contributing to making the city on the Han River a memorable and livable destination.
