Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam visited and presented gifts to outstanding groups and individuals in the health sector.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the afternoon of February 21, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam visited and presented gifts to outstanding groups and individuals in the health sector on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day. Accompanying him were representatives of the City People's Committee Office, the Department of Health and the People's Committee of Kien An District.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee visited and congratulated the staff and doctors of Kien An District Medical Center, a unit organized according to the model of a dual-function Medical Center. In which, the hospital block includes 5 departments and 8 clinical and paraclinical departments; the Preventive Medicine block includes the Department of Public Health - Disease Control - Food Safety and Hygiene and the Health Stations of 10 wards. In 2023, Kien An District Medical Center is the Head of the Emulation Block of the Medical Center Group, nominated to receive a Certificate of Merit from the City People's Committee. The unit has also successfully implemented and achieved high efficiency in epidemic prevention, vaccination, and treatment of COVID-19 in Kien An District. In addition, some professional indicators are equal to or exceed those of 2022.
Speaking at the unit, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged the achievements of Kien An District Medical Center in the past time. In 2024, he requested that the staff and doctors continue to improve their professional qualifications, coordinate with upper-level hospitals to meet the health care needs of the people, and work with the city towards the goal of becoming a medical center in the coastal region. On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee wished the staff and employees of Kien An District Medical Center and their families good health and happiness; wished the District Medical Center to develop further, meeting the increasing needs of medical examination and treatment of local people.
During the trip, the city leaders visited and presented gifts to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Vinh - Head of the Department of Tropical Diseases, An Dong facility, Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital. During his work, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Vinh always completed his assigned tasks well. In particular, in the work of disease prevention, in recent years, with the responsibility of Head of the Department of Tropical Diseases, An Dong facility, the unit assigned to be the frontline in the fight against the epidemic in the city; with the attention and direction of the Department of Health, the Hospital's Board of Directors, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Vinh and the hospital staff participated in the fight against the epidemic and excellently completed the task: receiving, isolating and treating more than 6,000 COVID-19 patients, many of whom were severe and critical. In 2022, the doctor was recognized by the State Council of Professors as meeting the standards for the title of Associate Professor, in Medicine, specializing in Infectious and Tropical Diseases. In 2023, the doctor was awarded the title "Excellent Doctor" by the Council at all levels.
On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee wished Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Vinh good health, continued to promote his achievements, continued to improve his professional skills, and made many contributions to the health sector as well as the people of the city.
