Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam visited and congratulated outstanding teachers in Thuy Nguyen and An Duong districts.
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024), on the afternoon of November 20, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam visited and congratulated outstanding teachers who are working and teaching at educational institutions in the city and living in Thuy Nguyen and An Duong districts. Accompanying him were representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and localities.
In Thuy Nguyen district, the delegation visited the family of Meritorious Teacher Vu Thi Phuong, Principal of Nui Deo Primary School (Thuy Nguyen district) in Pho Moi, Tan Duong commune and the family of comrade Nguyen Minh Ke, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training (GD&DT) of Thuy Nguyen district, in Tay village, Thuy Duong commune.
Ms. Vu Thi Phuong's family has two generations of excellent teachers. That is Excellent Teacher Vu Thi Hoa, Ms. Phuong's biological mother, former Principal of Nui Deo Secondary School. Ms. Phuong herself is an exemplary cadre and teacher, always completing assigned tasks excellently. Ms. Phuong's family members strictly follow all policies of the Party and laws of the State.
With a tradition of many generations attached to the noble education career, the family of Mr. Nguyen Minh Ke, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thuy Nguyen district has 13 teachers, who have worked and are working in the education and training sector of the district and city. Mr. Ke himself has the capacity, high sense of responsibility and good qualities; always exemplary in professional activities, emulation movements of the education and training sector and the locality.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited and congratulated Ms. Pham Thi Minh Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Clinical Medicine, Hai Phong Medical College at An Trang residential area, An Dong commune (An Duong district). From October 1995 to present, Ms. Ha has undertaken many roles and tasks, including performing medical examination and treatment, being in charge of a number of departments, divisions, and teaching students at Hai Phong Medical College. Regardless of her tasks, Ms. Ha has always completed them excellently and received recognition and rewards from the Ministry of Health, the City People's Committee and the school.
On behalf of the city's leaders, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Khac Nam kindly inquired about the health, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of generations of teachers to the education and training sector, their working units in particular and the city in general. The Vice Chairman emphasized that in recent times, the city has always paid special attention to education and training with a number of specific, nationally representative and highly effective policies, such as: 100% tuition support for students from preschool to high school; policies and mechanisms in discovering, training and fostering excellent students; selecting, using and rewarding excellent teachers in the field of training and fostering excellent students at national and international levels; as well as prioritizing resources for education and training and vocational training; gradually increasing investment in facilities and teaching equipment, etc.
Addressing the outstanding teachers, Vice Chairman Le Khac Nam expressed: During his lifetime, the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong said: "Teaching is the most noble of all noble professions". Therefore, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee hopes that teachers will continue to nurture their love for the profession; determined to promote their capacity, qualities, and creativity to contribute more to the development of the city's education and training./.
