Hong Bang District Party Committee: Launching the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against wrong and hostile views in 2024
(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 12, Hong Bang District Party Committee held a Conference to launch the response to the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in 2024 and the March 2024 Reporters' Conference on implementing the topic of Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in 2024 on building and developing Hai Phong city to harmonize economic development and cultural development. Comrade Le Ngoc Tru, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee chaired the Conference.
Attending the Conference were comrades: Nguyen Kim Pha, Principal of To Hieu Political School, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation in 2024; Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department.
Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Le Ngoc Tru, Secretary of the District Party Committee, stated: In 2023, in response to the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views launched by the Central and the City, Hong Bang District has implemented it methodically and extensively among cadres, party members and people. After more than 2 months of launching and implementing, the entire District Party Committee has participated in 1,763 works with diverse genres, 10 times more than in 2022, demonstrating the interest, response and strong spread among cadres, party members, association members and people. The District has selected 28 best works to participate in the city-level contest. As a result, Hong Bang District Party Committee won the excellent collective award and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the City People's Committee; 1 video clip work won the B prize; 1 magazine work won the consolation prize.
2024 is the fourth year that the city and district have responded to the Contest, on the basis of continuing the success of the three Political Writing Contests in 2021, 2022 and 2023. In order to effectively implement the Contest, achieve better quality and achievements in 2024, the District Party Secretary requested the Steering Committee of 35 districts, Party committees, authorities, localities and the entire district political system to continue to clearly identify the Contest as one of the key tasks in protecting the Party's ideological foundation; contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, cadres, Party members and the People for the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views.
Based on forecasts and clear identification of challenges, difficulties and practical requirements in the new situation that will pose many issues requiring great efforts, determination and innovation for the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation; the District Party Secretary suggested that the entire district should actively implement the Contest with a spirit of urgency, creating a widespread influence, attracting the participation of a large number of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, ensuring that the participating works are sharp, practical, topical, effective, of high quality and combative.
The conference listened to Comrade Cao Thi Thanh Xuan, Head of the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department, guide the implementation of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh Thought, Morality and Lifestyle Theme of the city and district in the activities of Party cells, organizations, agencies, units and widely propagated among the people. In particular, propagandizing and thoroughly disseminating to cadres, party members and people in the district about studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle, the contents and teachings of President Ho Chi Minh to the Hai Phong Party Committee and People on harmonious development between economy and culture. Creating a strong change in the awareness and actions of cadres, party members and people of the city about studying and following Uncle Ho; at the same time, effectively implementing the tasks of economic and cultural development of the district, locality, and the tasks of agencies and units. The implementation and study of the Topic must be serious, creative, effective and suitable to the practical situation of each locality, agency and unit.
Within the framework of the Conference, delegates also listened to Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee, deploy the topic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style on building and developing Hai Phong to harmonize economic development and cultural development. This is an extremely important and topical content, placed in the organic relationship, closely linked between economic development and cultural development in the overall development process, especially important, ensuring the goal of sustainable development of our country in the current period.
