October 8, 2024. The Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province to organize the inauguration ceremony and handover of 1,300 houses to poor households and families with housing difficulties in Tra Vinh province.
Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Le Ngoc Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction;
On the local side, there were comrades: Ngo Chi Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee; Kim Ngoc Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee to support housing construction for poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties in Tra Vinh province; Le Van Han, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Leaders of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security; Leaders of professional departments under the Ministry of Public Security; Leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; and 20 households representing 1,300 households receiving support to build houses in the province.
Also attending the program, on behalf of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group ( Petrolimex /Group) was Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Enterprises Party Committee - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors Pham Van Thanh.
Responding to the movement "Joining hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", recently, the Ministry of Public Security has mobilized resources to support the construction of over 15,000 houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties in 15 provinces and cities across the country.
In Tra Vinh, from the budget mobilized by the Ministry of Public Security of 65 billion VND, Tra Vinh province contributed 19 billion VND to build 1,300 houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties. Of which, Petrolimex supported 5 billion VND to build 100 houses to join hands to bring a peaceful life to people in difficult circumstances in Tra Vinh province.
Sharing the joy with the households, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security emphasized that in a very short implementation period, unfavorable weather conditions, under the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province and the highest promotion of the sense of responsibility of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police force.
With the cooperation and support of the people and the financial support of 5 sponsors, the project has completed one month ahead of schedule, building 1,300 houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult housing circumstances in Tra Vinh province.
On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Minister Luong Tam Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit, responsibility, close coordination, efforts, and overcoming of difficulties of relevant units, especially the core role of officers and soldiers of Tra Vinh Provincial Police.
