On the evening of March 7, the Ministry of Public Security said that after more than a week (from March 1) of receiving the functions, tasks and organizational structure of other sectors, the activities of the People's Public Security force quickly became routine, creating connectivity and synchronization in all aspects of work, without interruption or discontinuity, which was recognized and highly appreciated by the people.

The Ministry of Public Security and local police have organized the reception of 5 State management tasks from ministries and branches regarding the police force, including: Network information security; Ensuring aviation security; Drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction treatment management; Testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses; Judicial records and performing public services of issuing Judicial records. At the same time, they have completed the reception and implementation of the task of representing the owner of Mobiphone Telecommunications Corporation.
The Minister of Public Security has issued decisions to dissolve 694 district-level police stations; promptly issued a Circular stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of provincial-level police stations and commune-level police stations, which has adjusted the tasks when district-level police stations are not organized; issued a decision to establish 77 drug rehabilitation facilities under the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department. The above decisions have been implemented simultaneously since March 1.
The Ministry of Public Security has also issued instructions and decisions on decentralization of the implementation of receiving and handling administrative procedures and online public services when there is no district-level police force; announced a list of newly issued administrative procedures related to the implementation of tasks transferred by ministries and branches to the Ministry of Public Security, ensuring legal consistency and not creating legal gaps that disrupt the normal operations of the police force as well as agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals.

Up to now, after a week of deploying functions, tasks and organizing the new apparatus, the policy of "running and lining up at the same time" has been ensured, carrying out many tasks synchronously and simultaneously, ensuring implementation according to the set plan. Party committees and organizations in the People's Public Security have performed well in political and ideological work, creating unity in awareness and determination in the entire force; the vast majority of cadres have strong political will, are assured in their work, agree to support and strictly comply with the policy of innovation and reorganization of the Ministry of Public Security's apparatus.
The tasks that the Ministry of Public Security receives from other ministries and branches are new tasks, implemented in a short time with a large amount of work. Therefore, in the immediate future and in the future, there are many tasks that must be highly focused on to solve, especially the statistics of records, documents, facilities, etc.
In particular, continue to advise, propose to build, amend, supplement, abolish, replace or issue new legal documents to ensure the operation of the Public Security force according to Decree No. 02 of the Government; regulations on assignment, decentralization, procedures, management techniques for received tasks; regulations on personnel organization, payroll, party work... in accordance with the new organizational model.
Focus on completing the arrangement of officers at the provincial and commune level police, focusing on increasing the number of officers for the commune level police and carefully evaluating to select and build a team of commune level police chiefs with sufficient qualities, capacity, and working skills to meet new requirements and tasks.

Received 36,722 applications for driver's license renewal
This evening, March 7, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT, Ministry of Public Security) announced that after 7 days of receiving the task, the police force has received 36,722 applications for driver's license renewal from the people. Of these, 33,122 applications were received directly; about 3,600 applications were received online through the public service portal.
According to the Traffic Police Department, since receiving traffic from the transport sector, the Traffic Police force has quickly stabilized its organization, performed its tasks scientifically, effectively, and continuously, without affecting the normal activities of people and businesses.
