Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam was appointed as a judge of the Supreme People's Court.

On the afternoon of June 24, continuing the 5th Session, the National Assembly conducted personnel work, considering the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the appointment of Supreme People's Court Judges.

With 473/479 delegates participating in the vote in favor (equal to 95.75% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the appointment of Judge of the Supreme People's Court for Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam, Senior Judge, Deputy Chief Justice of the High People's Court in Hanoi.

The Resolution takes effect from the date of approval by the National Assembly (June 24, 2023).

Mr. Nguyen Hong Nam was born in 1968, hometown: Duyen Thai commune, Thuong Tin district, Hanoi city; professional qualification: Doctor of Law; appointed to the position of Deputy Chief Justice of the High People's Court in Hanoi from August 1, 2021.

Also on the afternoon of June 24, the National Assembly voted to pass the Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City; and voted to pass the Resolution on questioning and answering questions.

Voting to pass the Resolution on the results of thematic supervision of "mobilization, management and use of resources for Covid-19 prevention and control; implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine".

Approving the Resolution of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly (which stipulates: Adjusting the investment policy of the Ka Pet Reservoir Project, Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province; continuing to implement the policy of reducing value added tax by 2% according to Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 dated January 11, 2022 and the policy of investing in additional charter capital for the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam).

At the end of the session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue delivered a closing speech at the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly .
