The Party Central Committee elected additional Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Central Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc to hold the position of Politburo member and Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission.

On the first working day, the Party Central Committee worked at the Hall.

The Central Committee implements a number of contents on personnel work.

Accordingly, the Central Committee agreed to let Mr. Tran Cam Tu - Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission - resign from the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission to focus on performing the duties of Standing member of the Secretariat.

Electing 3 additional members of the 13th Central Inspection Commission, including: Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Nguyen Hong Linh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; Doan Anh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province.

Elected to fill the position of Mr. Nguyen Duy Ngoc - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission, Chief of the Party Central Committee's Office - as member of the 13th Politburo; Mr. Tran Luu Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Economic Commission - as member of the 13th Secretariat.

Agreed to let Mr. Duong Van An - Member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, former Secretary of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee - cease to hold the position of member of the 13th Party Central Committee Executive Committee.

The Party Central Committee worked in groups and discussed the following contents: (1) Report summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. (2) Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat in 2024. (3) Supplementary project on socio-economic development in 2025 with a growth target of 8% or more. (4) Project to supplement the 5-year assessment report on the implementation of the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021 - 2030, directions and tasks for socio-economic development in the 5-year period 2026 - 2030 with the growth target of the 2026 - 2030 period reaching double digits continuously in each year.
