Kinhtedothi - On the evening of October 25, the Office of the National Assembly issued a press release stating that the National Assembly held a separate meeting to consider personnel work under its authority.

According to the press release, the National Assembly voted to pass Resolution No. 157/2024/QH15 dated October 25, 2024 on the dismissal of Mr. Bui Van Cuong from the position of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and termination of his duties as a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.

Mr. Bui Van Cuong ceased to hold the positions of Secretary General of the National Assembly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee; ceased to perform the duties of a deputy of the 15th National Assembly; retired according to his personal wishes and enjoyed the regime and policies according to current regulations.
