Kinhtedothi - The unreasonable arrangement of officials in some localities with festivals has made people wait and feel frustrated. Along with other violations, many officials and civil servants have been disciplined.

Implementing the Directive of the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on strengthening discipline and order in State administrative agencies in the area, in the first quarter of 2025, the functional sector conducted inspections of 15 district-level units, 29 commune-level units, and 1 public service unit under the Department. Thereby, many officials were identified as violating.

According to reports from the units, in the first quarter of 2025, 26 cadres, civil servants and public employees of 7 units committed violations and were disciplined. Specifically, 1 person was dismissed and 5 people from the Department of Health were reprimanded; 10 people from the People's Committee of Lang Chanh district were reprimanded; 1 person from the People's Committee of Muong Lat district was reprimanded; 1 person from the People's Committee of Quan Hoa district was warned; 1 person was reprimanded, 1 person was dismissed, and 1 person from the People's Committee of Tho Xuan district was warned; 1 person from the People's Committee of Vinh Loc district was forced to resign; 1 person from the People's Committee of Nhu Thanh district was reprimanded and 3 people from the People's Committee of Nhu Thanh district were warned.

According to the Thanh Hoa Department of Home Affairs, through surprise inspections, it was found that most of the inspected agencies and units have implemented good discipline and administrative discipline in performing public duties; not going to festivals, temples and pagodas during working hours; not using public vehicles to go to festivals; not letting work backlog due to Tet holidays; not organizing spring outings, festivals, etc.

However, during the inspection, the inspection team noted that in some localities and commune-level units with temples, pagodas and festivals, the assignment and arrangement of officials and civil servants on duty to handle citizens' work was not appropriate, leading to citizens having to wait, causing frustration when carrying out administrative procedures. Typical localities are the People's Committee of Quang Cu Ward (Sam Son City), the People's Committee of Kien Tho Commune (Ngoc Lac District). After that, the inspection team made a record and sent a document to the People's Committee of Sam Son City and the People's Committee of Ngoc Lac District requesting corrective and handling measures.
