A series of large explosions occurred in the Ukrainian city of Khmelnitsky, apparently caused by UAVs attacking ammunition depots and fuel collection points.
The military department of the Khmelnitsky region in western Ukraine said a key infrastructure facility in the capital of the same name was attacked on May 13, causing an explosion that damaged several buildings and injured several people. Several trains passing through the city were also rescheduled due to the attack.

Images shared on social media showed a series of violent explosions, creating fireballs and large plumes of smoke. The Telegram account Intel Slava Z, which posts footage of Russian forces fighting in Ukraine, said that suicide drones had attacked several ammunition depots and fuel storage sites near the city.
The Russian Defense Ministry has not commented on the information.
The city of Khmelnitsky, located in western Ukraine, was the target of an airstrike using Kalibr cruise missiles on February 20, because it is home to the 383rd Unmanned Aircraft Regiment, the unit responsible for operating Bayraktar TB2 UAVs in the Ukrainian military.
The West and Ukraine have recently repeatedly mentioned a large-scale counterattack campaign with the hope of retaking many areas controlled by Russia. Some Ukrainian officials said they would launch a counterattack when conditions allowed and affirmed that it would "cause panic in all of Russia". However, Mr. Zelensky said that a counterattack at this time is "inappropriate" because it would cause large casualties.
Western military experts say that after Russian forces have consolidated a defense line of more than 1,000 km, the Ukrainian army with its current resources will find it difficult to advance far or repeat the feat of the September 2022 counterattack in Kharkov and Kherson.

The British Ministry of Defense said late last month that Russia was trying to destroy reserve units and equipment recently provided to Ukraine. The British military said the weapons deployed in recent attacks were smaller than those used in winter raids and were unlikely to target Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The warehouse of the Pavlograd Chemical Plant, which produces many types of missiles for Ukraine, was also attacked on the night of April 30, creating a violent explosion that lit up the night sky in the central province of Dnipro.
