Mr. Trieu Tien Loc exchanged and learned experiences in propaganda and mobilization work with prestigious people in the village.

From 2017 to present, having held many positions from Party cell secretary, village chief, to head of the village front work committee, Mr. Trieu Tien Loc (Bang Anh village, Tan Dan commune, Ha Long city) has always promoted his role as a prestigious person among ethnic minorities, truly a "bridge" between the Party, the government and the people. Mr. Loc always worries about how to help his family and people develop the economy and improve their lives.

To gain the trust and follow, Mr. Loc and his family pioneered the movement of converting acacia forest gardens to large timber plantations. Witnessing Mr. Loc's economic development model, the villagers learned to develop the economy from the forest, thereby gradually improving their lives. Currently, the average income of people in Bang Anh village from forest plantation reaches 80-100 million VND/year. Since 2020, there have been no poor or near-poor households in the village.

Mr. Trieu Tien Loc shared: In the period of 2017-2020, with 50% support for buying seedlings, I boldly registered to grow medicinal plants under the canopy of natural forests assigned by the State, contributing to the development of the family economy, and also to help develop the forest better. Up to now, my family has planted 8.1 hectares of medicinal plants, with nearly 6 hectares of purple khôi trees; planted, preserved and cared for over 7 hectares of lim forest... Based on the effectiveness of the family's conversion model, I have mobilized many households in the village to convert the area of acacia forest to grow large timber trees, bringing stable income and becoming a well-off household in the village. Up to now, the whole village has planted over 25 hectares of giổi trees, nearly 20 hectares of cinnamon, pine and over 5 hectares of gió bầu trees.

Afternoon Love   (first table, far left)   is a typical ethnic minority youth of Binh Lieu district with excellent academic achievements.

Not only the village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities, the 9X and 10X generations of ethnic minority youth also always strive to overcome difficulties, strive in studying, or boldly start a business to escape poverty in their homeland. A typical example is Chieu Cam Tinh (born in 2008, Dao ethnic group in Binh Lieu district), one of the typical examples of ethnic minority youth who has been commended and rewarded by all levels and sectors.

Chieu Cam Tinh confided: My family is a poor household, living on seasonal farming and slash-and-burn work. I am the eldest child, with two younger siblings. Due to family circumstances, there were times when I thought I would have to give up my studies, but I am very grateful for the attention of the province and local authorities for helping ethnic minority and mountainous students like me have the opportunity to study in a good environment like today. After finishing grade 9, I was admitted to the province's Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, which is the dream of many ethnic minority students. I always tell myself to try my best to study well to have the opportunity to escape poverty and later help my family and build my hometown.

Understanding the hardships of her relatives, Chieu Cam Tinh clearly knew that only education could help her family escape poverty and change her own future. Therefore, Chieu Cam Tinh always tried to overcome difficulties, improve every day and achieve the "golden board" of academic achievements. Throughout her high school years, Tinh was an excellent student and won third prize in Mathematics in the provincial competition for excellent students.

Not only achieving excellent academic results, Chieu Cam Tinh also has a passion for the traditions and cultural identity of her people. In addition to wearing traditional costumes in class every Monday and Friday, Tinh also actively participates in the school's Then and Tinh lute singing club, performs in extracurricular programs of the school, and participates in cultural events organized by Binh Lieu district such as: So flower festival, Luc Na communal house festival... Those activities help Tinh foster national pride and self-confidence; spreading to the younger generation of ethnic minorities in particular, and the whole province in general, about preserving and promoting the national cultural identity in the province.
