On June 7, candidates in Ho Chi Minh City finished their 10th grade public high school exam (regular class) with math. Instead of feeling relaxed after the exam season, many students expressed anxiety because the math questions were difficult and long.
The math exam for the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in Ho Chi Minh City this year has a total of 8 questions. Each question includes many small questions inside, requiring candidates to solve each question, balancing their time very carefully. Especially in the spatial geometry section, many students complained that it was difficult and not easy to get points.
Minh Dang, a candidate at Truong Tho Secondary School (Truong Tho, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), worried: "I don't know how many points I can get because the test is so difficult. Last year, I tried and got 8 points, but this year, I lost."
Similarly, candidate Nguyen Duy Anh, from Rang Dong Secondary School (Binh Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City), said: "I think I'm pretty good at math, but I don't know if I can get 6 points on this test. Especially questions 6 and 7, after reading them, I don't know what to do. Many friends left the test room crying because they couldn't do the test."
This afternoon, candidates who wish to register for specialized or integrated grade 10 will continue to take the specialized or integrated exam. The time to take the specialized or integrated exam is 150 minutes.
Previously, on June 6, candidates took the exam in two subjects: Literature and Foreign Language. The Literature exam was assessed by candidates and teachers as being close, creative, and highly open; the Foreign Language exam was easy, with an expected "rain" of 9 and 10 points.
