Confirming with VietNamNet , a representative of the Tue Duc Pathway School system said that some students of the school showed symptoms of vomiting, stomachache, and diarrhea and had to be hospitalized after the afternoon meal on March 25.

This happened at both campuses of the school on Nguyen Thi Dinh and Luong Dinh Cua streets (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), with nearly 20 students. Of these, 6 students had all 3 symptoms (vomiting, stomachache, diarrhea), were taken to the doctor by their parents and were diagnosed with digestive disorders. Some students had one or two symptoms, and were monitored by the school's medical department. To date, all students have stabilized and are attending school as usual.

The school said that for the afternoon snack, students from both campuses ate Korean mixed noodles and digestive yogurt. The meal provider was Ha Thanh International Service Joint Stock Company, which has a food safety certificate.

According to a representative of the Pathway Tue Duc school system, when 3 or more cases of vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea were recorded, the school directly reported to the Department of Education and Training, the ward health department, and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety and Hygiene. The school also took food samples for testing, and the results will be available after 7-10 days.
