Thematic exhibition "Year of the Dragon tells the story of the Dragon", introducing more than 100 documents and artifacts to clarify the dragon symbol in the architecture of religious and belief buildings, through the collection of artifacts of the Hanoi Museum and the application of dragons in life - contemporary fine arts expressed through craft village products, unique handicraft products.
The exhibition includes 3 themes: Dragon images in religious and belief architecture; Dragon images in daily life; Dragon images in contemporary life. Thereby, conveying to the public good meanings, wishing for a lucky, happy and prosperous new year of Giap Thin.

Sharing about the old Tet preparation customs of Hanoi people, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Xuan Dinh said: "Tet Nguyen Dan originated from outside, becoming a special Tet of Vietnamese people. It is true that Tet lasts for 3 days, but to have those 3 days, our ancestors had to have a very thoughtful Tet preparation journey, later at the end of December. Tet focuses on eating and drinking, celebrating Tet - our ancestors save up. Hungry all year round, full for 3 days of Tet. At least there are some dishes that are only available on Tet, such as banh chung, thit jelly... and gio cha is also available on other occasions.
In the past, banh chung was only available on Tet and the banh chung pot was almost the centerpiece of Tet with green beans and pork. The banh chung represents a very good philosophy. In addition, people have gone through a difficult Tet, only on the current Tet can they eat their fill. Because of that, Tet is considered a symbol of warmth, prosperity and abundance..."
"Some characteristics and constant elements of Tet: Tet is something new and strange - on the old foundation of houses, alleys and village roads, but they are decorated and cleaned, the village seems to be renewed. The village scenery changes along with new clothes that in the past were only bought on Tet every year. At the Hanoi Museum today, the thematic exhibition space "Old Hanoi Tet flavors" talks about the good customs of the traditional national Tet. Accordingly, the exhibition includes the following contents: Chung cake; The custom of erecting poles; The custom of playing parallel sentences, playing with paintings, asking for calligraphy on Tet; The hobby of playing with ornamental plants on Tet; Tet fireworks; Tet markets (past and present).
