
Yen Thanh Water Plant in Yen Thanh Town, Yen Thanh District with a designed capacity of 5,000 m3/day and night (currently operating at a capacity of 2,500-3,000 m3 /day and night), provides clean water to more than 8,000 households in Yen Thanh Town and the communes of Tang Thanh, Hoa Thanh, Van Thanh, Xuan Thanh. In addition, the plant also supplies water to Japanese garment factories, wood processing factories, Yen Thanh General Hospital, etc.
To ensure quality water sources, Yen Thanh Water Plant has implemented solutions to protect water sources, closely coordinated with local authorities at all levels to protect water security and safety, and installed 10 "no dumping" signs, including 8 signs along the N8 canal and 2 signs on the main canal.
In addition, Yen Thanh Clean Water Plant regularly maintains equipment and machinery systems to ensure safety standards and water quality supplied to the market. This reduces water loss and helps the plant operate stably.
In addition, the factory always implements the safe water supply plan well and strictly implements the inspection, monitoring and testing regime for quality indicators according to regulations. Functional departments such as Nghe An Center for Disease Control also periodically take water samples to test, inspect and monitor the quality of clean water. Nghe An Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality periodically inspects the compliance with legal regulations on quality measurement standards at the factory.
The factory currently has 2 engineers testing and inspecting water samples daily, ensuring safety standards and water quality before supplying to the market.
Along with good management and operation, the factory focuses on improving service quality and customer service. Arrange technical staff to be on duty at the unit to receive information, promptly handle incidents, and ensure water supply to people and businesses in the shortest time.

Currently, the factory has increased its operating capacity from 2,500 m3 /day and night to 3,000 m3 /day and night, arranging enough workers to ensure the factory operates 24/24 hours; increasing patrols to promptly detect leaks for early repair, minimizing water loss on the transmission pipeline.
The good news is that Yen Thanh Clean Water Plant is about to start the construction of the project "Regulating lake, water reservoir for domestic water supply" in Roc Lai area, Yen Thanh town, invested by Yen Thanh District People's Committee, with an investment value of over 15 billion VND and an area of 2.5 hectares.
The above reservoir will store over 90,000 m3 . After being put into use, in addition to creating an environmental landscape, it will also help Yen Thanh Clean Water Plant to be proactive in operating clean water. In particular, the plant will not worry about water shortages to serve the people during the hot season.

In recent times, Yen Thanh district has increased investment attraction and implemented the construction of large factories in the area. Yen Thanh water plant has also contributed to the investment attraction sector, promptly providing clean water for projects in the district.
In 2024, the water plant will provide water for a large project, the Vietfast Shoe Manufacturing and Processing Factory Project with a total investment of 30 million USD (equivalent to 690 billion VND) implemented in Bac Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, invested by a company in Taiwan.
