On the morning of September 24, the Provincial Steering Committee for the Implementation of National Target Programs held a conference to discuss, vote, and propose recognition of communes meeting advanced new rural standards (phase 1) in 2024 for 3 communes of Khanh Duong, Yen Dong, and Yen Thanh in Yen Mo district.

Delegates voted to propose recognizing the three communes of Khanh Duong, Yen Dong, and Yen Thanh (Yen Mo district) as meeting advanced NTM standards.

Comrade Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for appraisal, review and recognition of communes meeting the standards of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas of Ninh Binh province in the period 2022-2025 chaired the conference.

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Hoang Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Colonel Dang Trong Cuong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; members of the Appraisal Council, leaders of Yen Mo district, and chairmen of the People's Committees of the communes considered for recognition.

Although they are disadvantaged communes of Yen Mo district, with great efforts of the entire political system, the consensus and support of the people and businesses, up to now, all three communes of Khanh Duong, Yen Dong, and Yen Thanh have completed 19 criteria according to the Advanced New Rural Criteria Set, period 2021-2025. Traffic infrastructure, schools, medical stations, and village cultural houses have been invested in and upgraded, well meeting the living needs of the people.

In addition, localities also focus on promoting production emulation movements and economic development, thereby contributing to increasing people's income. Currently, the average income per capita of communes has reached over 72 million VND/person/year; the poverty rate has decreased to less than 1%; cultural identity has been preserved, and the environment has been improved...

The Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Mo district organized a survey on people's satisfaction: Over 80% of households were surveyed and the satisfaction rate of people in the communes was over 99%, meeting the conditions for proposing recognition according to regulations.

Regarding security and order, the communes are not complicated in terms of security and order and meet the standards of "safety in security and order" according to regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

After listening to the summary report on the results of the dossier appraisal and the level of meeting the advanced NTM standards for 3 communes of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on a number of areas: Security and order, environment, basic construction debt... so that the communes and Yen Mo district can continue to maintain and improve the quality of NTM.

At the conference, 100% of members of the Council for Appraisal, Recognition of Communes Meeting New Rural, Advanced New Rural, and Model New Rural Standards in Ninh Binh Province for the 2022-2025 period voted to agree to the proposal to recognize the three communes of Khanh Duong, Yen Dong, and Yen Thanh as meeting advanced New Rural standards in 2024.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung delivered a concluding speech at the conference.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, authorities and people of the three communes of Khanh Duong, Yen Dong and Yen Thanh and congratulated the communes that were voted by the members of the Appraisal Council to be recognized as communes meeting advanced NTM standards in 2024.

He suggested that communes fully absorb and assimilate opinions and suggestions from departments and branches, continue to maintain and improve criteria, paying special attention to environmental protection and economic development.
