On November 12, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province organized a meeting with artisans and artists and celebrated the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater.

The event is part of a series of activities celebrating the 15th anniversary of Quan Ho Bac Ninh folk songs being recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
At the event, many collectives, artisans, artists and actors who have made many contributions to preserving and promoting the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk song heritage were awarded.
On January 20, 1969, the Quan Ho Singing Team (the predecessor of today's Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater) was established with 7 artists, actors, and musicians, marking a period of transformation of Quan Ho culture from folk performance to an art form performed on stage.
On the 55-year journey of construction and development, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theater has successfully completed its mission, creating a bridge between the two forms of performing Quan Ho, old and new; affirming its position and brand as a leading professional art unit and core in preserving and promoting the value of Quan Ho cultural heritage.
After 15 years of the UNESCO recognition of the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs Heritage, with love and passion, generations of cadres, artists and actors have continuously strived to overcome all difficulties, tirelessly devoted themselves to art, making an important contribution to the cause of preserving, conserving and promoting the value of Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs - Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The theater has performed well its tasks of collecting, researching, experimenting, teaching, transcribing ancient lyrics; restoring and organizing many performance programs to serve the people's need to enjoy Quan Ho, contributing to the development of unique tourism products of the province; creatively experimenting, building many new programs suitable to the development trend of contemporary art; implementing well the cultural diplomacy strategy of the Party and State through sending troupes to perform abroad; coordinating the organization of exchange programs, introducing and promoting heritage in the province, domestically and in many countries around the world...
In the future, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Song Theatre will strengthen its activities to promote and advertise heritage; innovate and improve the quality of artistic activities through experimental activities, performances, and introduction of Quan Ho culture; build and organize art performance programs to serve the people and attract more audiences to the Theatre.
At the same time, the Theater has performed well the tasks of collecting, researching, and preserving ancient capital; effectively exploiting and operating theater facilities; actively advising on amending and supplementing specific mechanisms and policies for artists, actors, musicians, and staff working at the theater...
