On February 4, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police announced that it had just extradited Che Kim My Ngan (43 years old, from Ninh Thuan province, residing in Ben Nghe ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to Da Nang to serve the investigation to clarify the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
Previously, Mr. N.D.VT (residing in Da Nang City) was summoned by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Investigation Agency to investigate the act of illegally buying and selling bank accounts.
Mr. T. and Ngan used to be colleagues, working at the same company in Ho Chi Minh City, so during the time he came here to work under the summons of the investigation agency, Mr. T. stayed at Ngan's apartment on Ton Duc Thang Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.

Knowing that Mr. T. was worried that he would be prosecuted and arrested and that his family was financially well off, Che Kim My Ngan came up with the idea of fraud.
Ngan told Mr. T. that she had connections with some high-ranking leaders in the Central Government and the Ministry of Public Security, and could contact them to help Mr. T. get his case resolved.
Trusting Ngan because she was his former colleague, Mr. T. agreed to ask her to help him handle the matter. Therefore, from June 2023 to January 20, 2024, Mr. T. transferred a total of 6.6 billion VND to Ngan in the hope that he would not be prosecuted or arrested.
However, after transferring the money, Mr. T. discovered that he had been scammed by his colleague, so he filed a complaint with the Da Nang City Police Department.
Receiving the report from Mr. T., the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police reported to the Board of Directors of the City Police and coordinated with Department 6 of the Criminal Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) to verify and collect documents and evidence.
After investigation, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police determined that Ngan's actions constituted the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and so they arrested him.
At the police station, Ngan confessed to her actions and said she had spent all the money she received from Mr. T.
The police temporarily seized 3 cell phones, 1 iPad and some jewelry which were the assets Ngan bought with the money she appropriated from Mr. T.
Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Da Nang City Police has transferred Ngan to Da Nang to continue investigating and handling according to the law.
