(Dan Tri) - 7 people involved in kidnapping a girl in Vinh Long to demand a ransom of 150 million VND have just been detained by the police for 4 months to investigate the crime of Kidnapping for the purpose of appropriating property.
Regarding the case of a group of people kidnapping a girl and demanding a ransom of 150 million VND on January 24, on February 3, Vinh Long City Police, Vinh Long Province announced that the Investigation Police Agency, Vinh Long City Police had just prosecuted and detained 7 suspects for 4 months to investigate the crime of Kidnapping for the purpose of appropriating property.
Seven defendants were prosecuted, including: Nguyen Quang Thai (born 2003); Lu Van Tam (born 2001); Le Huy Tien (born 2007); Pham Quang Minh (born 2002); Nguyen Ngoc Son (born 2003); Pham Nguyen Ngoc Vu (born 1999); Tran Tuan Vu (born 1992), all residing in Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province.
Previously, at 10:15 a.m. on January 24, the 7 defendants traveled in a car with license plate 60A-406.09 from Dong Nai province to the embankment area of Tan Vinh Thuan hamlet, Tan Ngai ward, Vinh Long city, arrested Ms. LNH (born 2006, residing in Ho Chi Minh City, temporarily residing in Vinh Long city) and took her away.
Upon receiving the information, Vinh Long City Police quickly coordinated with the Criminal Police Department, Provincial Police; Professional Departments under the Ministry of Public Security and Ho Chi Minh City Police to block and arrest the above suspects in Binh Hung Commune, Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, and safely rescued Ms. H..
Through investigation, the reason this group kidnapped Ms. H. was because she owed money to the above defendants. The purpose of the kidnapping was to demand ransom to appropriate property in the amount of 150 million VND.
