Model Nhu Van competes in beauty pageant at age 33

(Dan Tri) - Model Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van has just been announced as Vietnam's representative to compete in Miss Global 2024.

After a series of achievements of Vietnamese representatives at Miss Global, the copyright holder sent contestants to the competition conducted selection rounds to find suitable candidates through challenging rounds such as photo shoots and Ao Dai performances, photo shoots and bikini performances...

After 8 episodes broadcast in the form of reality TV, the final top 2 were named Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van and Kieu Thi Thuy Hang. Of which, Nhu Van will represent Vietnam at Miss Global 2024, while Thuy Hang will represent Vietnam at Miss Global 2025.

In addition, the Best in Ao Dai winner - Kieu Thi Thuy Hang will also become the ambassador of the Vietnam Heritage Ao Dai program series 2025. And the Best in swimsuit winner will become the ambassador of Vietnam International Sea Fashion Festival (VISFEST) 2025.

Sharing about this result, Nhu Van sent her thanks and promised to try her best at the Miss Global 2024 arena.

Nguyen Dinh Nhu Van was born in 1991, from Da Lat, and is a model with many years of experience in the Vietnamese fashion industry. In October 2023, she attracted attention when she won the title of 1st Runner-up of The New Mentor.

Nhu Van is quite private about her personal life. She gave birth to her first child at the age of 18 and became a single mother after her marriage broke down. In 2013, Nhu Van married for the second time to an American businessman. Her husband has 3 children from previous marriages. The couple welcomed another member in 2018. Currently, she has a happy life with a family of 7 members.

Director Le Viet said that finding representatives to compete in Miss Global 2024 and Miss Global 2025 is a difficult problem, requiring judges to observe carefully and evaluate objectively through many different criteria.

"We set many challenges to explore the potential of the candidates. What surprised me was that the more challenges they faced, the more they shone and the more difficult it was to choose the winner. We hope that this choice will help Vietnam achieve a high ranking in the international beauty arena," he said.

Miss Global is a beauty pageant founded in 2013, with an age limit of 18 to 35 years old. This beauty pageant has the slogan of promoting feminism, honoring cultures and expressing inner beauty.

Previously, Vietnam sent a number of beauties to compete, typically Doan Hong Trang, Nguyen Thi My Duyen, Huynh Thi Yen Nhi, Tran Ngoc Nguyen Khanh... Among them, beauty Doan Thu Thuy is the Vietnamese beauty with the highest achievement in this arena with the title of 4th runner-up.
