From January 1 to March 22, Hai Duong Forest Protection Department coordinated to rescue 3 endangered and rare wild animals voluntarily handed over by 2 families in Tu Ky district.
Specifically, relevant units and localities received and handed over 2 golden monkeys from the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Mung in Chi Minh commune; 1 large loris from the family of Ms. Do Thi Mien in Dan An commune.
All three of the above wild animals are classified as endangered and rare wild animals according to Decree No. 84 dated September 22, 2021 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 06 dated January 22, 2019 of the Government regulating the management of endangered and rare wild plants and animals and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
After receiving the animals, Hai Duong Forest Protection Department handed over all of them to the Hanoi Wildlife Rescue Center and the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms (Cuc Phuong National Park) for care and rescue according to regulations.
Previously, in 2024, The Hai Duong Provincial Forest Protection Department has coordinated to discover, propagate, and mobilize the rescue of 13 rare wild animals, notably 2 tigers discovered in Kim Thanh district, illegally kept by a subject.
