In the 80s of the last century, a farmer in Thi Vien village - Vinh Thanh city - Ha Nam - China was quarrying rocks on a nearby mountain. Around noon, when he was about to go home for lunch after finishing his work, he saw a large crater on the mountainside that had just been bombed. He bravely walked closer to see what was inside.

He thought to himself, this place belongs to the Mang Dang mountain range, where Liu Bang's "Snake Slashing Uprising" took place. There are many famous tombs nearby, such as the tomb of Han Liang Wang and Chen Sheng. Based on his experience, he felt that he might have blown up an ancient tomb. He immediately reported the incident to the local historical and cultural relics department.

Upon receiving the notice, experts immediately went to the scene to conduct a survey. Not long after, experts determined that there was a tomb below. Questions arose as to which dynasty the tomb belonged to and who the tomb's owner was.

Stringing together all the documents and information, the identity of the tomb's owner was quickly determined. It was the burial place of Liu Man, also known as Liang Gong Wang, a king of the Western Han Dynasty.

After discovering the identity of the tomb's owner, the archaeological work continued. One of the experts shined a flashlight on top of the tomb and discovered a lifelike dragon painting, at least three meters long.

Observing carefully, the experts present were all extremely excited. It turned out that there was a mural on top of the tomb, and this dragon was only a small part of the painting. In addition, there were also images of Vermillion Bird (red bird), Black Tortoise, and White Tiger carved on it, so the experts named it “The Painting of the Four Gods Clouds and Qi”.
