On October 9 in Hanoi, Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam held the official announcement ceremony for the event "Kenny G Live In Vietnam" held on the evening of November 14 at the My Dinh National Convention Center, Hanoi.

This is the opening event for Good Morning Vietnam, an international music project for the community in Vietnam initiated by Nhan Dan Newspaper and IB Group Vietnam.

Saxophonist Kenny G will have a special music night in Vietnam called "Good Morning Vietnam"

Good Morning Vietnam is expected to be held annually not only with the purpose of spreading the world's top music to Vietnam but also with profound humanitarian values, all ticket sales will be used for charity purposes hosted by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

According to the organizers, Kenny G expressed his emotion at the humane meaning of this program. The artist said that this was the first time he performed for such a large community program.

Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Program Steering Committee, shared that inviting saxophonist Kenny G to perform in Vietnam this time was not easy because international artists have busy schedules. Matching the performance schedule in Vietnam during the tour is a big problem.

Mr. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Chairman of IB Group Vietnam, added that the organizer had to meet many strict requirements regarding sound, lighting, and auxiliary equipment systems when inviting Kenny G to perform in Vietnam. The program's organizers also sent a number of folk music works for Kenny G to choose one to be adapted into Smooth Jazz to perform in the upcoming music night.

The Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper said that he had many personal experiences with Kenny G's music. In 1992, he bought Kenny G's first album. To him, Kenny G's music is very familiar and close.

"Kenny G Live in Vietnam" will last for more than 2 hours, following the format of Kenny G's performances on major stages around the world. Accordingly, Kenny G will play live all of the most famous songs over the years such as: "Going home", "Havana", "Romeo & Juliet", "My heart will go on"...

Kenny G is known to the public as an American saxophonist with hundreds of instrumental songs in Smooth Jazz, R&B, Pop and Latin that have touched the hearts of millions of music lovers around the world for over 30 years. He is on the list of artists with the best-selling records of all time, with a total of more than 75 million records worldwide.

In 1994, Kenny G won a Grammy Award for "Forever in Love" and is the only artist in the world to be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records for playing the longest note on a saxophone for 45 minutes and 47 seconds. In 1997, he was officially honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

To the Vietnamese public, Kenny G is a familiar name, his music has penetrated the subconscious and become a spiritual food for many people in the 1990s. His music is still very popular in the contemporary music life of many generations.
