On September 4, informing Lao Dong reporters, a representative of Nghe An Department of Tourism said that during the 4-day holiday (August 31 to September 3), the whole province welcomed and served 320,000 visitors, an increase of 19% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, the number of guests staying reached 110,000 (up 22% compared to 2023); international visitors reached 1,200. Total revenue from tourism services reached over 635 billion VND, up 27%.
Tourism activities taking place during the September 2nd holiday this year in Nghe An are guaranteed to be safe.
During the National Day holiday, the number of visitors to Cua Lo town increased compared to the same period last year. During the 4-day holiday, the town welcomed about 180,000 visitors, of which about 67,000 stayed. An average increase of 30% compared to the same period in 2023.
It is known that in the first 8 months of 2024, Cua Lo is estimated to reach 4,650,000 visitors, an increase of 31% over the same period, reaching 120% of the yearly plan.
Of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 1,720,000, up 39% over the same period, reaching 119% of the yearly plan. International guests are 6,000, up 12% over the same period.
Revenue from tourism activities is estimated at 4,800 billion, up 37% over the same period, reaching 114% of the yearly plan.
This year, the inauguration of the Hanoi - Vinh highway and the newly put into operation of the Vin Wonders Cua Hoi entertainment area have helped Cua Lo tourism to have a sudden growth.
Besides Cua Lo, many other tourist destinations in Nghe An such as: Uncle Ho's Hometown (Nam Dan), Truong Bon Historical Site (Do Luong), Che Island (Thanh Chuong)... also welcomed a sharp increase in visitors during the National Day holiday.
