Huge block of wood falls from car onto road, girl abandons motorbike and escapes

A girl in Nghe An had to abandon her motorbike and run for her life when a ton-heavy block of wood suddenly fell from her car onto the road.

The incident occurred at around 12 noon on March 29, on the inter-commune road through Xuan Thap commune, Dien Chau district, Nghe An province.

According to the security camera of a house along the road, it was raining, the road was slippery, wet and there were many people on the road. A girl riding a motorbike saw a car going in the opposite direction with a chain attached to the wooden blocks coming loose.

In a split second, the girl quickly left her motorbike behind and ran away before the ton-heavy block of wood fell from the car onto the road and headed straight for the motorbike.

The accident caused severe damage to the motorbike. The motorbike was carrying 5 large blocks of wood, 2 of which fell onto the road.

Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene to handle and direct traffic.

It is known that this area is home to many wood processing facilities, so there are often trucks carrying raw wood to gather.
