On the morning of April 4, the Government delegation worked online with the localities of Ha Nam , Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An on the situation of production, business, construction investment, and import and export in the area.

Comrade Dao Ngoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister, Chairman of the Ethnic Committee, member of the Government chaired the meeting. At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh reported to the working delegation on the situation of production and business activities, import and export, public investment, infrastructure construction, national target programs, social housing and the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. With the spirit of acceleration and breakthrough to complete the plan, Nghe An province has set out 6 key directions and management, 12 groups of tasks and main solutions and 177 specific tasks. In particular, to achieve the target of GRDP growth in 2025 of 10.5% assigned by the Government, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 126, which builds GRDP growth scenarios for each quarter, identifies 6 groups of tasks and general direction solutions and 6 groups of tasks and specific solutions for industries and fields associated with specific targets and products.

On that basis, the socio-economic development situation in the first quarter of Nghe An province has achieved many positive results. The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first quarter is estimated at 8% (ranked 27th in the country, 2nd in the North Central region and 5th in the North Central and Central Coast regions), this is also the highest growth rate in the first quarter in the past 5 years. As of March 31, the estimated disbursement rate of public investment capital in the province reached nearly 18% of the total assigned plan, higher than the national average; Accumulating the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses from 2023 to present, Nghe An province has mobilized and supported the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people in difficult housing circumstances with a total cost of nearly 1,000 billion VND, building more than 13,500 houses. Nghe An is determined to strive to complete the target before July 31, 2025. In addition to the 25 problems and recommendations that the province reported to the Working Group and were basically acknowledged and resolved by the central ministries and branches, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh also said: through the implementation process, Nghe An province has some additional problems related to the implementation of new legal documents on land and public investment that need guidance and answers from the central ministries and branches.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed: The Provincial Party Committee always pays attention, regularly accompanies, closely follows the situation with the Provincial People's Committee to lead, direct, and operate the implementation of growth targets, handle and remove difficulties, facilitate production and business activities, and implement social security goals. The spirit of the province is always proactive: the Provincial People's Committee proactively reports, the Provincial Party Committee proactively requests. Although in reality there are many difficulties and problems arising, especially in the upcoming second quarter with many pressures, Nghe An always looks at the advantages and positives to carry out the tasks. With the special and regular attention of the Central Government, from the positive results achieved in the first quarter, in attracting investment in the past time... the province will proactively apply in removing difficulties; Receive the instructions of the Central ministries and branches (especially the implementation of policies for the poor and ethnic minorities in the mountainous areas of Nghe An) to review, pay attention to the instructions, and have effective solutions to achieve the highest results in the requirements assigned by the Central and the Government.

Concluding the working session, Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Dao Ngoc Dung emphasized: the most important task at present is to ensure the growth target, strongly promote growth associated with sustainability, stabilize the local economy, and ensure major balances in the area. To do so, it is necessary to coordinate smoothly in leadership and direction. In addition to general instructions on disbursement of public investment capital, 3 National Target Programs, progress of key projects, and industrial development, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung requested the 2 provinces: Thanh Hoa and Nghe An to soon direct the development of a project to solidify schools and build all schools in mountainous ethnic minority areas in a solid direction; dedicate special policies specifically for the health sector to take care of people's health.

Particularly praising the results that Nghe An province has achieved, the Minister emphasized: the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is a great revolution with the goal of ensuring that people have a stable place to escape poverty, so it is necessary to continue to focus highly to complete the program according to the set goals. Ministries, branches, agencies and units should pay attention to balancing and arranging, urging investors to support early capital for the two provinces of Nghe An and Thanh Hoa and pay attention to responding to proposals and recommendations of localities, not giving general responses.
