The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 was held from April 11 to 13 at the pedestrian street of Tran Nhan Tong and the surrounding area of Hai Ba Trung district (Hanoi). At the festival, Co To district participated in displaying a booth to promote and introduce local tourism products and OCOP products.
The Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025 is an annual tourism stimulus activity of the capital with the message "Hanoi - Come to love", promoting Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination. At the same time, it is a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and respond to the National Tourism Year 2025 "Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunities".
The festival gathered about 80 unique booths, of which Co To district had 1 booth to display images, videos , tourism publications and information about tours, attractive products and services of the island district. In addition, the booth also displayed, introduced and sold typical OCOP products of Co To such as: dried squid, dried shrimp, shrimp, anchovy, yellowstripe scad, abalone, mussels, sea cucumbers, fish sauce... The products displayed and sold at the festival are not only attractive in quality but also carry the unique characteristics and flavors of Co To island.
The booth of Co To district at the event attracted the attention and support of many tourists, people of the capital and units participating in the festival. Many visitors came to learn information and expressed their love and interest in tourism products as well as typical OCOP products of Co To. Many people were interested and curious to set foot on the island district when they could directly visit the introductory images and enjoy the famous specialties of Co To sea.
This event is an opportunity for Co To to strengthen the tourism cooperation relationship between the island district and the capital and other provinces and cities. At the same time, it will promote and introduce the potential, strengths and unique tourism products of the island district to a large number of tourists. Thereby, it will create opportunities for tourism and service businesses in Co To to exchange, connect, expand business cooperation and introduce the district's typical OCOP products to a larger market and strongly promote the image of a friendly, beautiful and dynamic Co To to the Hanoi market and neighboring localities.
According to the plan, in 2025, Co To district aims to welcome 300,000 visitors. To realize this goal, Co To has developed a plan to deploy 5 new tourism products. At the same time, the district focuses on developing green tourism, protecting the environment, upgrading infrastructure and diversifying tourism products, bringing rich and sustainable experiences to visitors.
Notably, in just the first 3 months of 2025, Co To district welcomed about 9,000 visitors, with tourism revenue reaching about 27 billion VND, including 344 international visitors (equal to 166% compared to the same period in 2024), an encouraging number when the tourist season has not officially begun.
