According to the forecast of the North Central Hydrometeorological Station: Currently, in the North, there is a strong cold air mass moving southward; from the night of December 16, the North Central region will experience severe cold. Warning that this severe cold phenomenon may last after December 20.
On December 16, Nghe An welcomed the northeast monsoon, a long period of severe cold.
To proactively respond to severe cold and minimize damage caused by rain and cold, the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province has issued Official Dispatch No. 234/VPTT, requesting the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of districts, cities and towns; and related units to direct the implementation of response measures.
Accordingly, localities and units need to closely monitor warning and forecast bulletins to promptly and regularly notify and guide local authorities and people to proactively prevent severe cold; absolutely do not use coal stoves to heat in closed rooms to avoid unfortunate incidents that cause human damage; and have plans to ensure safety for students.
At the same time, strengthen propaganda and guide livestock households to clean, strengthen barns, cover and keep warm, proactively store food to ensure prevention of hunger and cold; provide guidance on disease prevention for livestock, poultry and aquatic products; cover, shield, water, fertilize and keep moist for rice, vegetable and other crop production.
In particular, localities and units need to proactively notify and guide visitors and tourists, increase warnings on roads where fog and slippery conditions often occur to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic; Organize specialized working groups to go to the grassroots to inspect, urge and guide people on appropriate and effective prevention and avoidance measures.
