In the spirit of the emulation movement to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day, the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army's founding day, and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, residential areas in the province are urgently preparing for the National Great Unity Day (NDD) in a meaningful, effective, safe, and economical spirit.
With the theme “Solidarity Day - Warm military-civilian relationship”, on November 10, the whole province will organize the National Solidarity Day in residential areas. This is the third year the province has launched the organization simultaneously, creating an exciting and vibrant competitive atmosphere, attracting the active participation of a large number of people in the area.
Hai Son Commune (Mong Cai City) is one of three localities in the province selected to organize the 2024 Military-Civilian Cultural Festival in residential areas. These days, the atmosphere of preparation for the festival is very bustling and urgent, from the work of decorating the festival, renovating the environmental landscape, to decorating booths displaying local products... The majority of people in the villages are excited to practice the performances during the festival...
Mr. Phun Van Huy, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Son Commune, said: This year, the Great Unity Festival was organized at the commune level with a special mark when it took place at the "red address" - Po Hen National Historical Site. This is an encouragement for the people of the commune to better carry out the emulation movement, building the locality to develop more and more. Closely following the directive documents of the superiors, the commune thoroughly disseminated, propagated and closely coordinated with Po Hen Border Guard Station, the City Military Command to develop a plan, deploy careful preparations so that the festival took place in a truly meaningful way, demonstrating the spirit of national solidarity with a variety of activities: Folk game of throwing con; grass-laying exchange (say ma); women's football competition; 8,600m run with the theme Journey to find the "red address"; handing over houses to comrades...
Rushing to prepare the village's booth at the festival area, Mr. Dang Van Hung, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Po Hen Village, excitedly said: The village currently has 161 households, 827 people, of which over 87% are ethnic minorities. Over the past 10 years, the village has continuously achieved the title of cultural village. This year, the Great Unity Festival was organized at the commune level, and was selected by the province to be the focal point. We, the people, were extremely happy and excited. To contribute to the successful organization of the festival, the villagers together cleaned the village roads, alleys, decorated the village gate; tied ropes to hang the national flag and the Party flag; practiced performing arts and made traditional embroidery products to display during the festival... This is an opportunity to connect love, strengthen the village relationship, join hands to build the homeland to be more civilized and beautiful.
Ban Sen Commune (Van Don District) and Zone 1 (Co To Town, Co To District) were also selected by the province to organize the Dong Khoi Dong Festival in residential areas. Towards the festival, the Fatherland Front of localities launched and implemented a peak period with many meaningful activities: Organizing social security activities, overcoming the damage of storm No. 3; visiting and giving gifts to policy families, meritorious people, typical war veterans, households in difficult circumstances; awarding, attaching signs, inaugurating Great Solidarity houses, Comrades' houses; rewarding and praising collectives, families, and individuals with outstanding achievements in emulation movements; organizing environmental protection activities, beautifying residential areas...
Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Do Khanh Tung emphasized: The new point of the 2024 National Solidarity Day is that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Military Command signed a coordination plan to organize the Great Solidarity Day associated with the Military-Civilian Cultural Day . The theme of this year's festival was chosen as "Solidarity Day - Warm Military-Civilian Friendship". Successfully organizing the National Solidarity Day has a particularly important meaning in gathering, consolidating, and enhancing the solidarity and consensus of the people in the community and residential areas; further promoting the close relationship between the military and the people, creating a solid foundation for the National Solidarity Day bloc. Thereby strongly arousing the spirit of excitement and emulation among the people, determined to overcome all difficulties and challenges, and maintain the development achievements of the province and locality. In the immediate future, we will encourage and mobilize people to actively respond and participate in successfully organizing the election of village, hamlet and neighborhood chiefs for the 2025-2027 term; and compete to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.
