Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) said that from today (August 27), the bank will start selling SJC gold bars on the VCB Digibank application.

With the implementation of this utility, Vietcombank also officially stopped providing services of booking SJC gold bar purchases on Vietcombank website and payment transactions for SJC gold bar purchases at the counter from August 27.

To order SJC gold bars via the application, customers choose the maximum quantity, location and time of gold bar delivery at the counter in accordance with current regulations.

Before placing an order, customers are required to review and update personal information displayed on the transaction screen, and perform other operations, such as:

Make payment to buy gold right on the VCB Digibank application and receive an electronic invoice via the email address that the customer has registered.

Receive appointment confirmation with specific information about time and location of gold bar delivery via OTT message/email registered to use VCB Digibank.

This utility is applied by Vietcombank to Vietnamese individuals who are using VCB Digibank application, have a VND payment account opened at Vietcombank and are active.

Time to schedule and pay for gold purchases on VCB Digibank app is from 10am-4pm on weekdays.

When paying for gold purchases, do not use your overdraft limit to make payments.

When arriving at the location to deliver gold according to the appointment schedule, customers must present their identification documents and the gold purchase transaction code (ref number) sent by Vietcombank via OTT message/email registered with VCB Digibank.

Vietcombank said that the utility of buying SJC gold bars on VCB Digibank will help customers make transactions anytime, anywhere right on their personal phones, saving time paying at the counter.

Thus, Vietcombank is the first bank to implement the utility of buying gold bars through the bank's application. This is also the first bank to stipulate that SJC gold bars are only sold to customers with active payment accounts at the bank.
