Provincial Social Policy Bank works in Thanh Hoa district

On March 6, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank (BSP) of Long An province, led by Mr. Nguyen Trong Diep - Director of the provincial branch of the BSP, member of the Board of Directors of the provincial BSP, had a working session in Thanh Hoa district. Receiving and working with the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Trong Can - Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, Head of the Board of Directors of the district BSP.

As of February 28, 2025, the total source of policy credit capital in Thanh Hoa district was 419 billion 559 million VND, an increase of 15 billion 036 million VND compared to the beginning of the year (an increase of 3.72%). Total loan turnover was 29 billion 769 million VND, equal to 130% compared to 2024, with 538 customers borrowing capital. Total debt revenue was 16 billion 590 million VND, equal to 102% compared to 2024, accounting for 55.73% of loan turnover. Total outstanding debt reached 417 billion 699 million VND, with 7,697 customers with outstanding debt, an increase of 13 billion 179 million VND compared to 2024.

In 2024 and the first 2 months of 2025, policy credit programs in the district were implemented promptly and in accordance with regulations. Loans were disbursed directly to beneficiaries at the People's Committees of communes and towns, in the presence of local authorities, socio-political organizations, Savings and Loan Groups and the People, ensuring the principles of public and democratic management.

Credit capital is mainly focused on investing in agricultural production, raising cows, pigs, chickens, ducks and fish; trading and other types of services... promptly meeting the needs of poor households, near-poor households and newly escaped poverty households to have conditions for production and business to escape poverty sustainably, contributing to improving the living standards of rural people.

After inspecting the actual use of capital at households in Thuy Dong commune, delegates discussed, focusing on existing problems, difficulties and obstacles; at the same time, the locality also had a number of proposals and recommendations related to the professional mechanism, entrustment activities, and coordination between unions and the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Diep - Director of Long An Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch, member of the Provincial Social Policy Bank Board of Directors, acknowledged the performance of the District Social Policy Bank Board of Directors in the past time. He also suggested that the district make good use of the programs, enhance the role of policy credit management, help people access and effectively use loans to develop the economy and improve their lives.
