Dienbien.gov.vn – On the afternoon of March 15, comrade Le Thanh Do – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee attended the naming ceremony of Raymonde Dien and Henri Martin streets in Dien Bien Phu city. Raymonde Dien Street (section adjacent to Be Van Dan Street next to Muong Thanh Market). Raymonde Dien is a French female peace fighter, naming Raymonde Dien Street in Dien Bien Phu City has many profound historical and diplomatic meanings. It is not only a tribute to her but also honors international friends who supported Vietnam in the struggle for independence and freedom. It shows the respect of the Vietnamese people for peace lovers around the world.

Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do and delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the signboard naming Henri Martin Street (intersection with Nguyen Chi Thanh Street). Henri Martin was a French political activist and peace fighter who bravely spoke out against the French colonial invasion in Vietnam. This is not only an important event in the planning and urban development of Dien Bien Phu City but also has profound historical significance, expressing gratitude to international friends who accompanied Vietnam in the struggle for independence and freedom.
