According to Sputnik news agency, General Sergey Karakaev - Commander of Russia's Strategic Missile Forces, announced the above information in an interview with Russia's military newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.
“For the first time, various types of weapons, military equipment and special equipment of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces will be exhibited in the open area of the Patriot Exhibition and Congress Center,” Sergei Karakaev said.
The Commander of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces said that, in accordance with the wishes of many regular forum visitors and veterans of the Russian Strategic Missile Forces, in the open area of the Exhibition Center of the upcoming Army 2023 International Military-Technical Forum, the Russian Strategic Missile Forces will display the traditional launcher of the Topol mobile ground-based missile system.
At the same time, for the first time, automatic launchers and combat support vehicles for the Yars mobile missile system will also be exhibited.
In addition, General Sergei Karakaev emphasized that for the first time, the public will be able to see with their own eyes the warhead and upper stage of the Avangard intercontinental missile complex.
“They will be mounted on special transporter-loader vehicles. They will definitely be the center of attention at the static exhibition area,” said Mr. Karakaev.
According to General Sergei Karakaev, the special remote mine clearance device Foliage will be introduced at the Forum. This device will ensure the clearance of missile units on combat patrol routes.
Commander of the Strategic Missile Forces Sergei Karakaev said that the presented new weapons will become the center of attention of visitors to the static exhibition at the Army 2023 Forum.
The Army 2023 Forum officially opens on August 14. On this day, the Forum will only welcome official delegations, heads of state, VIP delegates and invited guests, as well as pre-registered media representatives.
From August 15-17, the forum is open to experts and journalists. From August 18-20, the forum is open to the public.
The Army 2023 Forum has a static exhibition area of 41,500m2 in pavilions and 120,000m2 outdoors. A total of 28,000 exhibits will be on display.
The forum's program includes more than 300 events on current issues such as military development, the Russian defense industry and international military-technical cooperation, as well as many cultural and artistic exchange events.
This year, official military delegations from 108 countries were invited to the forum, of which 63 have confirmed their participation. Six guest countries presented their own national pavilions. The total number of Russian and foreign participants in the forum is about 1,500.
