INVESTMENT IN FACILITIES FOR THE HEALTH SECTOR

In addition to modern facilities, Nam Can Tho University also focuses on investing in the construction of many items serving the training of health sectors. It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2024, the school will start construction of phase 2 of Nam Can Tho University Hospital; a 20-storey building with a floor area of over 55,000 m2, with a total value of about 1,500 billion VND. Also in the fourth quarter, the school will start construction of the DNC international dormitory building to meet the accommodation needs of international and domestic students, with a scale of 15 floors and an investment value of about 450 billion VND. In the first quarter of 2025, the DNC Institute of Health Sciences Research and Training will be inaugurated to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the school's founding. The project has a floor area of 25,000 m2, with a total value of about 600 billion VND.

STRENGTHENING INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

In the trend of global integration, Nam Can Tho University has established DNC International Medical Faculty, promoting the expansion of cooperation in education and training, and applied scientific research. In addition, the school also cooperates with VMED Organization (India) to provide consulting services for studying abroad and receiving and training students from countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Middle East and many other countries. At the same time, DNC also focuses on expanding cooperation with many prestigious partners in the world such as the US, Japan, France, Malaysia, India, New Zealand, Korea, Philippines... to provide students with opportunities to study and experience in an international environment.

MEET INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

Up to now, Nam Can Tho University has met the standards of Educational Institution Quality Assessment (cycle 2) issued by the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - Hanoi National University and the Certificate of Educational Quality Assessment for many regular undergraduate and master's training programs. In 2024, Nam Can Tho University was honored to be in the Top 61 in the Vietnam University Rankings, up 37 places compared to 2023. Not stopping there, in 2023, DNC is actively striving to officially be named in the list of medical universities that meet the criteria voted by the prestigious website WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools), becoming a recognized medical training address in the world. This is also a premise for students of the School of Medicine to have the opportunity to be allowed to take the US residency exam, becoming international medical students.

EXPANDING TRAINING SCALE, INCREASINGLY DIVERSIFYING INDUSTRIES

Currently, DNC has more than 22,000 students studying at the school and has awarded more than 12,000 diplomas, contributing to providing high-quality human resources for the Mekong Delta region in particular and the whole country in general.

In 2024, Nam Can Tho University will enroll and train 42 regular university majors in many fields such as: health sciences, economics - administration, social sciences and humanities, engineering and technology, tourism - restaurants - hotels ...; in which the health majors such as: medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, nursing, preventive medicine, medical imaging technology, medical testing technology stand out.

The school enrolls students according to 3 methods: High school transcript results, 2024 high school exam results, or competency assessment test results organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University and Can Tho University.

In addition, the school also enrolls students for doctoral and master's degrees, and enrolls students for university-level bridging, second degrees, and part-time study.
