On January 17, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law signed a memorandum of cooperation on the implementation of dormitories for students at campus 3 in Long Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city (HCMC).
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Le Truong Son, principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, said that since 2008, the school has not had a dormitory for students. This has led to most of the school’s students having to stay in boarding houses of local residents or businesses.
With the autonomous mechanism, in early 2004, the school cooperated with enterprises to put into use the first dormitory for students since implementing autonomy. The management and operation of the student dormitory was operated by enterprises at 195/25 National Highway 1A, Binh Chieu Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
At the end of 2024, the school continued to sign a cooperation agreement on the management and operation of the student dormitory of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law at 136A Bui Van Ba, Tan Thuan Dong Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
"According to the 2025 enrollment plan, a number of students will study and live at campus 3 in Long Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city. Therefore, signing a cooperation agreement to deploy a dormitory for students near this campus is extremely important, creating conditions for students to have a reputable, quality and reasonably priced place to stay," said Mr. Son.
Representing the investors, Mr. Quoc Huy Tuan added that the dormitory is expected to have an area of 2,400m2 with 1 ground floor, 4 floors and 85 rooms, each room has an area of 16-20m2 like a miniature apartment that can accommodate 4-6 students, equipped with a kitchen, space for a washing machine, air conditioner, canteen service if students do not cook, laundry service and sports field, parking area...
