Muong Khuong needs to launch a 100-day campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

In 2025, Muong Khuong district aims to eliminate all 2,654 temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30. Currently, communes and towns have started construction on 743 houses, while 678 households have not registered to build houses, mainly due to lack of counterpart capital; single-parent, elderly, sick families; working far away; taboos about the age of house building, some households still have a wait-and-see mentality, not really proactive in building houses. In addition, house construction also faces many difficulties due to lack of supply, increasing prices of construction materials and lack of construction workers... Currently, the locality is stepping up propaganda work, establishing working groups directly to the grassroots, coordinating with communes to urge implementation progress, remove difficulties and obstacles...

Appreciating the efforts of Muong Khuong district in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, comrade Trinh Xuan Truong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: The remaining workload is very large, while there is not much time left, so all levels, sectors and Muong Khuong district must join in with the highest determination and effort, mobilizing the participation of people and businesses, in order to create huge resources to complete the goals of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, repairing houses after natural disasters, helping people to soon stabilize their lives.

Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (photo above) emphasized: "We propose that Muong Khuong district launch an emulation movement to mobilize the entire political system within 100 days, including the help and support of the Provincial Steering Committee as well as the political systems to concentrate on Muong Khuong. We are still determined to complete the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district before June 3 as committed to the Prime Minister, that is, 6 months ahead of the Government's request."

The Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Muong Khuong district to strengthen leadership and direction, maintain regular meetings with Steering Committees at all levels to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles; focus on speeding up the progress of granting land use right certificates to people; promptly disburse funds to eligible households; promote the movement of communes helping communes, villages helping villages, households helping households, and join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
