The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just signed and issued Decision No. 2354/QD-BVHTTDL recognizing Mui Ne National Tourist Area (in Binh Thuan province). Accordingly, Mui Ne National Tourist Area has an area of about 14,760 hectares, with about 1,000 hectares of core area focused on development, forming functional tourism areas.

Mui Ne National Tourist Area will be developed sustainably towards green growth, protecting the ecological environment and landscape, especially Bau Trang, Bau Sen and coastal sand dunes, responding to climate change, preventing natural disasters and coastal erosion; harmoniously developing tourism with mineral exploitation, agriculture, forestry, fishery and energy; ensuring the interests of the State, communities and businesses, implementing social justice, maintaining national security and defense, social order and safety and poverty reduction.
Mui Ne National Tourist Area will also focus on developing tourism in depth, focusing on quality and efficiency, diversifying products on the basis of exploiting and promoting the advantages of marine tourism resources, forming typical tourism products, especially sea resorts, sea sports, along with focusing on exploiting the values of relics, culture of the Cham people and the unique sand dune terrain values, creating a breakthrough foundation to turn Mui Ne National Tourist Area into a high-quality resort tourism center. Striving to become one of the leading destinations in the Asia-Pacific region by 2030.

Specific goals: By 2030, we aim to welcome about 14 million tourists, including over 2.5 million international tourists; total revenue from tourists by 2025 will reach about 24 trillion VND, and by 2030, about 50 trillion VND. Create jobs for about 24,000 direct workers by 2025 and over 45,000 people by 2030.
Forming main tourism subdivisions including: Bac Binh high-class sea tourism subdivision with an area of about 500 hectares; Mui Ne sea tourism subdivision, an area of about 340 hectares; specialized tourism subdivision - Cat tourism, an area of about 100 hectares.
The unique terrain of Mui Ne sand dunes is a valuable resource for developing various types of tourism.
