Ms. Tran Thu Huong (Mr. Hai's daughter) said: "When seeing my father carrying the cassava home, all family members were surprised. The cassava weighed 25kg and was more than 1m long. Hearing the news, everyone in the neighborhood came to see. I took a picture of my father holding this cassava and posted it online. Everyone was amazed and left many happy comments."
Speaking to Dan Viet reporter, Mr. Nguyen Kien Quyet - Chairman of Ky Phu Commune People's Committee, said: "The cassava that Mr. Hai dug up is the biggest one in the locality so far. Cassava is not the main crop in our locality. This plant is grown by some households like Mr. Hai to feed bamboo rats".
