On March 11, a leader of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School (Dak Mil town, Dak Mil district, Dak Nong province) confirmed that a student of the school had just had a serious traffic accident when a dump truck ran over him and severed one of his legs.
The student who had the accident was TTM (10 years old, 4th grade student).
According to initial information, at around 4:20 p.m. on March 10, after school, M. and two classmates were walking across the street right in front of the school gate.
At this moment, a dump truck carrying construction materials, with license plate 48H-012.xx, passed by and ran over M., severing her left leg.

Immediately after the accident, people took M. to a local medical facility for first aid, then transferred him to the Central Highlands General Hospital (Dak Lak) for emergency treatment.
Ms. A. (M.'s mother) sadly said that her daughter was out of danger, but due to the severity of her injuries, the doctors were forced to amputate one leg and could not reattach it.
According to Ms. A., she still takes her child to and from school every day. However, recently, M. had a dance practice at school, so on the day of the accident, she arrived late to pick him up.
"Yesterday, after school, my daughter and two friends crossed the street to buy water to go back to dance class when they had an accident. The incident was so heartbreaking, in a moment my daughter became physically disabled," Ms. A. said, choking up.
Ms. A. said she sells tofu to make a living, and M. helps her mother sell goods every afternoon after school.
After the incident, leaders of Dak Mil Town People's Committee and teachers of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Primary School went to the hospital to visit and encourage M. and her family.
