On September 10, in Hanoi, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) and the Vietnam Health Trade Union signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement on implementing the "Welfare Program", providing banking and financial products and services to customers who are health union members, contributing to taking care of the interests of health union members and workers nationwide.
Attending the event, on behalf of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union, there were Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Permanent Deputy Minister, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health, Mr. Ha Anh Duc - Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Son - Director of the Department of Planning and Finance. On behalf of the Ministry of National Defense Trade Union, there was Colonel Nguyen Dinh Duc - Member of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Labor, Head of the National Defense Trade Union. On behalf of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union, there was Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - Member of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union, departments of the Vietnam Medical Trade Union and representatives of the leaders of Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital, and the Hanoi Medical Trade Union.
On MB's side, the signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Pham Nhu Anh - Member of the Board of Directors and General Director, Mr. Tran Minh Dat - Deputy General Director, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc - Member of the Executive Board, Chairman of the Trade Union and representatives of a number of agencies at the bank's headquarters.
Through the agreement signed between MB and the Vietnam Health Trade Union, union members and workers in the health sector enjoy incentives such as: reduced lending interest rates from 1% to 2% for each credit product and loans for up to 30 years; interest rates on short-term deposits from 0.2 to 0.9% depending on the period; 20% discount when buying car insurance; free issuance and annual fee of VND 220,000 for life credit cards, free maintenance fees and free VND 50,000 when closing accounts for individuals and organizations. Grassroots unions under the Vietnam Health Trade Union also enjoy preferential deposit interest rates and participate in insurance. In return, MB Group's staff and union members receive the best health care and advice when visiting central and local medical facilities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health - Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen highly appreciated the initiative of the Vietnam Health Trade Union and the cooperation support of MB. "The cooperation of the two units is a vivid demonstration of the efforts of the two units to bring legitimate and long-term benefits in the future for union members, health workers and MB union members. This is a new point in the cooperation of the two units to maximize the strengths of each unit to bring practical benefits to its union members" - said the leader of the Ministry of Health.
Sharing about the signing of the cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Health Trade Union, Mr. Pham Nhu Anh - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of MB said: "MB wishes to implement specific and practical programs to support union members in the health sector. In addition, MB will take advantage of its technological strengths to contribute to promoting administrative reform as well as hospital fee payment procedures at hospitals, bringing a more convenient experience for both hospital staff and patients."
Also at the event, the leaders of the Ministry of Health highly appreciated and thanked MB for accompanying the Ministry of Health and its affiliated units in many social charity activities, supporting hundreds of billions during the period of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic to buy vaccines and treat Covid-19. According to the Standing Deputy Minister of Health, a strength of MB in the health sector is that it has successfully implemented a solution for paying hospital fees via dynamic QR codes integrated on medical examination forms, contributing to the Ministry of Health's Plan 1190/KH-BYT dated September 10, 2022 on promoting the implementation of cashless payment for medical examination and treatment services.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Medical Trade Union and MB is a prominent activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2025) and the 30th anniversary of MB's establishment (November 4, 1994 - November 4, 2024). On this occasion, MB also presented the Vietnam Medical Trade Union with the "White Blouse Protection Program" worth 100 million VND.
