Bringing "Warm Spring on the Border" to women and children in Dien Bien province

Baoquocte.vn. The program "Warm Spring in the Border" with many valuable and meaningful gifts was delivered to women, children and people of Na Sang border commune (Muong Cha district, Dien Bien province).

This is an activity directed by the Department of Party and Political Affairs - Ministry of Public Security, the Women's Committee, the Youth Committee and the People's Public Security Trade Union Committee to carry out well the social security work, help people in the border areas of Dien Bien province to protect the sovereignty and security of the national border.

Accordingly, the working delegation led by Major General Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Party and Political Affairs, Head of the Women's Committee of the People's Public Security, presented "10 livelihood models" to 10 disadvantaged households in Na Sang commune, each family with 15 breeding rabbits.

The delegation also supported the construction of 4 "Love Shelters", "Union Shelters" and "August 19 Houses" for women's union members and union members in difficult circumstances in the locality, each house worth 50 million VND.

To support and encourage the Women's Union of Na Sang commune to perform well the tasks of the Union and movements in the area, the Working Group presented the Women's Union of Na Sang commune with a set of computers and printers.

In particular, on the occasion of celebrating International Women's Day (March 8) with women across the country, the Delegation presented the officials and members of the Women's Union of Na Sang commune with 4 wardrobes of Ao Dai, along with 380 sets of Ao Dai in a variety of vibrant colors.

This is a meaningful gift for women in border areas to have more conditions to preserve the traditional beauty of Ao Dai, enhancing the graceful beauty of Vietnamese women.

Along with that, 10 women's households in difficult circumstances were also presented with "livelihood models" by the Working Group, each family with 1 cassava cutting machine.

In the program "Warm Spring at the Border", the Working Group also presented teachers and students of Na Sang Commune Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities with a bookcase (including 1,200 books), various types of books for research, reference and study.

Along with that, teachers and students at the school received a computer classroom (including 6 desktop computers) to further serve students' access to information technology.

The delegation also donated 4 laptops to 2 local primary schools and 1 computer to Na Sang Commune Police, bringing the total number of computers donated on this occasion to 12.

To encourage disadvantaged students at Na Sang Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, the "Warm Spring at the Border" program awarded 40 scholarships (each worth 1 million VND) and 500 school uniforms to the students.

At the same time, the Delegation also organized a program "Propaganda of laws on preventing human trafficking and drug trafficking" for more than 400 students of Na Sang Commune Ethnic Boarding Secondary School and local people.
