In recent times, Vietnam has been one of the destinations attracting the attention of international investors in the field of high-tech industry.
Japanese enterprises also strengthen strategic cooperation with startups in the S-shaped country to seek cooperation opportunities, promote innovation, and enhance competitiveness.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Haruhiko Ozasa, Chief Representative of JETRO's Hanoi Office, said that the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative in the New Era Phase 1 was launched in March 2024, focusing on innovation towards the common prosperity of the business communities of the two countries.
The Vietnam-Japan Business Connection Program with the theme "Inno Vietnam-Japan Meetup Vol.10" is within the framework of the above initiative.
Mr. Haruhiko Ozasa hopes that the event will be an opportunity for Vietnamese startups to meet potential Japanese investors, promoting connection and cooperation activities.
For her part, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Quyen, Deputy Director of NIC, emphasized that NIC is committed to supporting start-up businesses with continuous efforts, thereby contributing to the development of innovation in Vietnam.
The Vietnam-Japan business connection program takes place with two main contents.
Part one is an idea presentation session, a "playground" for businesses and startups to learn more about common needs and development potential.
Part two is the trade connection activity. Here, businesses and startups of the two countries directly exchanged and sought cooperation opportunities, contributing to promoting innovation and bilateral economic development.

Speaking with reporters from The Gioi Va Viet Nam Newspaper on the sidelines of the event, Chief Representative of JETRO's Hanoi Office Haruhiko Ozasa highly appreciated Vietnam's investment environment, including two highlights.
Firstly, Vietnam's strong growth potential. Mr. Ozasa Haruhiko assessed that the S-shaped country is a promising market.
Second, Vietnam's socio-political stability is an important factor highly appreciated by Japanese businesses.
However, according to him, Vietnam also has some limitations that need to be improved, such as legal processes and administrative procedures that are still quite cumbersome.
"If this weakness is overcome, Vietnam will further enhance its ability to attract new investors and businesses to the market," emphasized the Chief Representative of JETRO's Hanoi Office.
