Special moments during the nearly 3-year journey have created the value of happiness in the Vietnamese Family Warmth program.
With the Vietnamese Family Home program, the theme “Happiness for everyone” of the International Day of Happiness in 2025 becomes even more meaningful when happiness is shared between strangers. And special happiness has always appeared throughout the program’s nearly 3-year journey.
Happy smiles light up the future
The happiness of the program's staff is Chau Gia Loc 's smile after nearly 3 years of participating in the program Vietnamese Family Warmth. Gia Loc is one of three characters participating in episode 13 of the program, recorded on December 2, 2022. Gia Loc and his younger brother lost their father due to the pandemic, and their mother worked hard day and night to take care of their two children. Because they had no home, Gia Loc and her three children had to rent a room, and because of the pandemic, making a living became extremely difficult.
When he joined the program, Gia Loc was only 17 years old, a 12th grader, dreaming of becoming a Physics teacher. Now, Gia Loc is on the way to realizing his dream, he is a 2nd year student, Faculty of Natural Science Education, Saigon University.
Gia Loc has many outstanding academic achievements such as: Encouragement prize in the multiple choice section of the 26th National Physics Olympiad for Students - 2024; Achieved the title of 5 Good Students for the 2023-2024 school year;... Currently, in addition to going to school, Loc also works as a home tutor and works part-time at a coffee shop to earn money to help his mother as well as pay for his own studies.
And the bright smile of the second-year student Chau Gia Loc on his journey to pursue his dream is also the happiness of the people who make the program Vietnamese Family Home. And there are many more meaningful things in the program.
MC Dai Nghia : " Happiness is knowing enough"
Happiness has many different definitions. For MC Dai Nghia, when we feel satisfied and content with what we have, that is happiness. At the present time, the male artist feels happy when he can devote himself to his artistic work as well as charity activities, including leading the program Vietnamese Family Home.
“What makes Nghia happiest is the sharing in the program Vietnamese Family Home, not only from the older donors but also from many young people of the same age as the characters. The students come as an audience to watch the program and then contribute money that their parents give them for snacks. After the broadcast, the families also receive a lot of support from donors near and far.
That is the spirit of 'the rich help the poor' of the Vietnamese people, the sharing of love with those in more difficult circumstances than ourselves. This sharing has great meaning, not only helping the characters overcome difficulties but also spreading meaningful humane messages to the community, awakening compassion in each person. This makes me extremely happy to be a program host" , MC Dai Nghia shared.
Furthermore, what moved the male artist when participating in the filming of the program Vietnamese Family Home was the will to rise up in life of the orphaned children. Despite the loss of family affection, the children never stopped trying. The children are very understanding, understand the family's situation, understand that they still have to strive to study to change their future. For Dai Nghia, Vietnamese Family Home is truly a meaningful and humane program because it not only brings happiness to the characters but also spreads humanitarian values to the community.
