The 71st Miss World contest has more than 100 contestants from countries and territories around the world participating.

The final night of Miss World this year is expected to take place at 9pm (Vietnam time) on March 9, in India. The program is copyrighted and broadcast live on VTV9.

Mai Phuong is highly appreciated at Miss World

After arriving in India, Mai Phuong - representative of Vietnam - made an impression through sideline activities and sub-competitions .

She entered the top 25 in the Head to Head competition. Mai Phuong brought to Miss World the Yako by Mai Phuong project (selling T-shirts for charity).

She sold more than 5,000 shirts and spent $23,000 on charity programs in Vietnam.

In the Beauty with a Purpose competition, Mai Phuong received many compliments from the audience for her fluent and expressive English presentation.

Recently, the beauty site Pageanthology predicted that Mai Phuong will be crowned Miss World this year.

The remaining four contestants in the top 5 are predicted to include representatives from England, Spain, Türkiye and Thailand.

Missosology predicts Mai Phuong to be in the top 20 (position 15). The winner of Miss World 2024 is predicted to be from Colombia.

Sash Factor predicts Mai Phuong will be in 11th place in the top 20. The winning contestant is from Peru.

Compete with the goal of enjoyment and relaxation

The 71st Miss World contest was postponed several times, so Mai Phuong had more than a year to prepare the necessary skills for this contest.

Mai Phuong said: "Time passes and cannot be held back. I can only try to organize and do everything as best as possible.

The thing that has changed the most is probably my emotions and everyone else's. Emotions can't predict anything. I still know that I'm competing in Miss World and have to go on the right track."

When asked about her goal when participating in this year's contest, Mai Phuong said she only set the goal to enjoy and learn from the other contestants. She put herself in the mindset of expressing everything comfortably.

"I am always ready to face all difficulties and challenges. If I cannot solve them, I still have relatives, family, friends... I come to the competition with what I have, not following the requirements of others" - Mai Phuong confided.

Recently, Mai Phuong has carried out many charity activities in many provinces and cities across the country.

Projects focus on disadvantaged people so that no one is left behind and focus on education.

Miss Mai Phuong carries out the project "Take care of children to school" , helping primary school students with health and nutrition, while creating better conditions for them to go to school.

She also inaugurated the charity kitchen and Yako farm in Bac Kan.

Miss Mai Phuong hopes this project will never end, so that it can help many people in difficult circumstances.

Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, born in 1999, is from Dong Nai. She was crowned Miss World Vietnam in August 2022.

Mai Phuong is 1.7m tall, with measurements of 82-63-92cm. Mai Phuong is currently a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City.
