Mikhail Fokin collects yellow jersey, red polka dot jersey after stage 10 of Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup 2025

The 117.5km long race from Hue City to Da Nang City of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup 2025, with three challenges on the road: Phuoc Tuong, Phu Gia and Hai Van Passes. This is considered the "detector" to find the championship candidate. As expected, this is the stage where the race's overall standings were severely disrupted.

Right from the start, the attacks broke out continuously. A group of 13 riders escaped the control of the yellow jersey group – the group led by Duoc Domesco Dong Thap to protect Loic Desriac.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Ha Thanh Tam (Pelio Kenda Dong Nai) "occupied" Phuoc Tuong peak, while Phung Quoc Ha (Hanoi) raised his hand to celebrate on Phu Gia.

But all that was just foreplay before the foreign stars really started to show their strength on the way to Hai Van Pass.

And the race really heated up when Mikhail Fokin kicked off with no mercy from 5km from the summit. His rivals were all dropped: Savva Novikov, Samuel Jenner, Ethan Batt, Johnny Hoogerland and even yellow jersey Loic Desriac all bowed out.

Mikhail Fokin single-handedly crossed the Hai Van peak first, won the red polka dot jersey for the King of the Mountain, and then... descended like the wind to Da Nang City. But things were not that easy. With 6km left to the finish line, he was caught up by the chasing group including Novikov, Jenner, Batt, and Hoogerland.

Ethan Batt won in Da Nang after a tense battle of wits and speed. Despite not winning the stage, Mikhail Fokin still smiled brightly as he finished in the lead group to officially tear the yellow jersey from Loic Desriac.

Sharing after his top performance, Mikhail Fokin excitedly said: "Luckily the weather today is very nice, not too hot. I feel good form and am very happy to win both prestigious jerseys."

Meanwhile, Le Ngoc Son (Loc Troi An Giang Group) won the overall orange jersey from his teammate Nguyen Tan Hoai. Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7) kept the white jersey after 10 stages from Dang Van Phap (620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long).

Tomorrow, April 14, the racers will continue with stage 11 from Da Nang City to Tam Ky City, 86km long.
