The Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway: Aspiration for further development.

On May 19th, the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau expressway project, specifically the section passing through Son La province, will commence construction. This is not only an important transportation infrastructure project but also a symbol of the aspirations for progress, integration, and development of the people of Son La and the entire Northwest region.

The Hoa Binh – Moc Chau expressway section passing through Son La province is over 32km long, stretching from Chieng Yen commune, Van Ho district to Chieng Chung commune, Moc Chau town. Upon completion, the road will shorten travel time from Hanoi to Son La, break the monopoly of National Highway 6, and create a breakthrough in connecting trade, investment, and tourism development.

Comrade DO VAN AN, former member of the Central Committee of the Party, former Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee : I am very pleased about the investment policies for Son La, a province still facing many difficulties in the Northwest region; especially the investments in transportation. The Central Government has shown interest in investing in the Hoa Binh - Moc Chau expressway, and I hope that Son La province has decided to implement it sooner than planned, which is a very correct policy.

The people's joy stems not only from convenient transportation but also from the hope for a transformed future. The expressway will be a more convenient bridge, bringing Son La's agricultural products closer to domestic and international markets.

This will make transportation more convenient, and with improved transportation, the people's lives will be enhanced. The simplest example is that our OCOP (One Commune One Product) products, such as food, will reach consumers more quickly through the transportation of goods.

During the site preparation process, the consensus of the people was clearly demonstrated. In the communes and villages within the project's affected area, many households readily cooperated and fully supported the major policies of the Party, the State, and the local authorities.

We hope that this key national project will be launched as soon as possible, ideally on May 19th. Currently, we have posted notices and conducted awareness campaigns, and the people have shown very high levels of agreement.

The Hoa Binh – Moc Chau expressway project is a testament to the strong involvement of the central and local governments in the development strategy of the Northwest region.
