Building dormitories from socialized resources
This morning, April 13, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law coordinated with investors and businesses to start the socialized construction of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law dormitory building in Long Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to Dr. Le Truong Son, Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, this event marks an important step forward in the socialization effort to call for and cooperate with businesses to invest in projects to improve facilities, meet accommodation needs and create a better living and learning environment for the school's students when the school's third campus will operate synchronously in the 2025-2026 school year.
"The construction of a new dormitory not only solves the urgent housing problem for students when the school's third campus is put into operation, especially for students from other provinces, but also contributes to creating a safe and comfortable living environment, providing maximum support for students during their study and training at the school.
Currently, not many universities have been able to cooperate and socialize dormitory projects for students. Therefore, this project can be considered a model to share and replicate to have more social resources to contribute to the development of university facilities," Mr. Son emphasized.
Each room in the dormitory is like a miniature apartment.
The dormitory building is designed in a modern and convenient style and is built on an area of over 2,700m2 , phase 1 is 1,800m2 with 1 ground floor, 5 floors and 54 rooms, each room has an area of 16-20m2 .
Each room in the dormitory is like a miniature apartment, can accommodate 4-6 students, equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, air conditioner, canteen service if students do not cook, laundry service, sports field, parking area...
The investor committed to the construction progress by the end of September 2025 to welcome the first batch of students, and put into full operation of accommodation and facilities on November 20. The entire dormitory has the capacity to accommodate more than 500 students.
Thus, along with the inauguration of the N3 road connecting traffic from Long Phuoc Street, Thu Duc City to the land at the 3rd campus of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law invested by the city, the establishment of the new dormitory will contribute to ensuring safe accommodation and creating favorable conditions for the school's students to study, research and participate in extracurricular activities at this new campus from the 2025-2026 school year.
