According to the report, 1 week before the gang beating, BN (an 8th grade female student at Thai Van Lung Secondary School) and Ng. (a 7th grade female student at the same school) teased each other about body issues.
Then NQ (a 7th grade female student at the same school) caused trouble with Ng., claiming that Ng. spoke ill of Q.
Ng. asked Q.Nh. (a 7th grade female student at the same school) to talk to Q.
Q.Nh. asked Ng. to give him 1.5 million VND to "settle the matter". Ng. agreed but did not give the money yet.
At about 11:20 a.m. on April 11, 2025, after school, Ng. and P. (a male student in the same class) went out of the school gate, where a group of BN, Q.Nh, Q. and K. (students attending general education at Thai Van Lung School) and a few other boys (all students of Thai Van Lung) were waiting.
This group of students followed Ng. and P. to an empty lot on Road 11 next to address 55A Road 11, Ward 3, Tam Binh Ward, then beat Ng. In which K. used a helmet to beat them.
After beating Ng., Nh. asked why he hadn't paid Nh. 1.5 million yet and demanded that Ng. pay him this afternoon.
Meanwhile, BN dragged P. to the male students who were with him, asked why he was with Ng., then beat P. and left.
What does Thu Duc City People's Committee direct?
Also according to the report of Thu Duc City People's Committee, immediately upon receiving the news, the City People's Committee directed the Thu Duc Department of Education and Training to coordinate with Tam Binh Ward People's Committee and Tam Phu Ward People's Committee to clarify the incident.
Thu Duc City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to direct the board of directors of Thai Van Lung Secondary School to coordinate with the students' families.
Specifically, exchanging and educating students about illegal acts of violence; Strengthening educational disciplinary measures; Reviewing the work of homeroom teachers, psychological counseling, and educating students on compliance with school regulations and the law.
"The school needs to visit and encourage students to help them stabilize their psychology. The school needs to support their studies and medical expenses so that they can complete their studies well and recover their health soon.
At the same time, the Thu Duc Department of Education and Training continues to direct school principals to further strengthen education on preventing school violence and educating students on ethics, lifestyle, discipline, and awareness of law compliance," the report stated.
On April 11, social media went viral with a clip of a group of male and female students from Thai Van Lung Secondary School taking a female student to an empty lot in Tam Binh ward.
Here, about 3 female students continuously used their hands, feet, and helmets to beat and brutally kick the female student in the head. The group of 3 female students also cursed and joked many times while beating their friend. There were many male and female students around, but no one intervened or cheered.
After being beaten, the female student suffered a head injury, swollen eyes, and bleeding from the mouth... The incident was filmed by someone in the group and posted on social media.
